Jen Royle, ladies and gentlemen. p.s. if your life is so much better in Boston…why are you still hung up on hating Baltimore so hard? Also, a friend let me know that she can dish it out but can’t take it - watch what you say or her lawyer (who probably thinks she’s as idiotic as the rest of us) might give you a call. |
And my life is more enjoyable in a real sports city filled with classy people :)

Yeah…Why Not?
sometimes I seriously think about getting Why Not? tattooed on my foot (with the Orioles ‘O’) and the baby bird on the other foot.
It’s early [in the season], but it ain’t too early to say we’ve got something good going on here.

There are plenty of ways to measure and explain what it is that has the Orioles in first place, but there is nothing quite like a 17-inning win with your DH on the mound to make an Orioles fan ponder, “Why not?

I’ve been broadcasting 37 years and I’ve never seen anything like this.

lost-and-searching-in-america:
Orioles first basemen Chris Davis was called into to pitch in 16th inning against the Boston Redsox after the O’s had exhausted their bullpen. Davis gave up just 2 hits and no runs while also getting two strikes outs. The Orioles would take the lead in the 17th with a three run Adam Jones homer. Davis, who is the Orioles regular first basemen and is not a part of the O’s bull pen, and in fact has never pitched in a big league game before today was credited with the win.
